Alexa Neynaber, ND

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Neynaber strives to make her patients feel well, vibrant, and whole using the healing power of nature. She lets the principles of naturopathic medicine guide her as she evaluates and determines what is right for the individual, knowing that each patient’s health journey is unique.

Alexa was born and raised in Nebraska – the heartland of agriculture. Her father, being an avid gardener, and mother, a passionate cook, taught her the importance of healthy nourishment at an early age. When her mother’s health turned due to a life-threatening condition, Alexa was horrified to see that doctors would only spend a few short minutes with a patient, would not explain what was happening, and would not have time to answer questions – even about basic nutrition. After neglect and misdiagnosis for her mom, Alexa decided that there had to be a better way.

Not long after, she discovered that there were doctors who emphasize prevention and blend important parts of healing, such as diet, lifestyle, herbs, and education in their practices, and she had to learn more.

She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition in three years at the University of Nebraska, and moved to Seattle to study natural healing. Four years later, she graduated from Bastyr University with her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.

Dr. Neynaber has experience in primary care, IV therapy, nutrition, botanical medicine, craniosacral therapy, and hydrotherapy. She has worked in both conventional and alternative health care clinics in Nebraska and Washington. She feels passionate about integrating these modalities into her practice in useful and realistic ways for each of her patients.

In her spare time, Alexa enjoys skiing, reading, cooking, making her own herbal teas and tinctures, mentoring female student-leaders at the University of Washington, and traveling with her husband, Kevin.
