Dr Lauren Procopio, ND - Naturopathic Doctor at Natural Medicine of Seattle

Lauren Procopio, ND

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Procopio is a patient and intuitive naturopathic doctor providing primary care and IV Therapy. Lauren believes in empowering her patients with knowledge and understanding of their health.

Raised in the rustic green mountain state of Vermont, Dr. Procopio developed a love of nature from an early age. Hours exploring the forests of her home state were spent harvesting wild edibles and learning to identify medicinal plants. Her interest in plant medicine was a catalyst for choosing naturopathic medicine as a career.

Dr. Procopio also delved into the world of western biomedicine by working as a medical assistant in primary care internal medicine prior to applying to medical school. Having strong ties to both traditional medicine and modern medicine makes Dr. Procopio a true integrative practitioner, capable of elegantly balancing both fields.

In taking the time to explain her recommendations thoroughly, Dr. Procopio’s patients come away with a deeper understanding of their individual health and why they feel the way they do. With this understanding patients can make better choices and give themselves the best chance at a healthy life. Her philosophy of medicine is grounded in the naturopathic principles of prevention and treating the cause.

Dr. Procopio is a graduate of Bastyr University, Washington campus and is board certified in naturopathic medicine. Her interests are strongest in the areas of intravenous micronutrient therapy (IVMT), environmental medicine and treating chronic gastro-intestinal issues, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, and chronic pain.

In her personal life, Dr. Procopio is an avid hiker and has explored nearly every mountain range in Washington with her two dogs. She has a passion for creative expression which includes sculpture, gluten free baking, gardening, and music. She is also a singer and guitarist in a local Seattle band.
