Specialties Include:
Eating Disorders, Reproductive Health, Gastrointestinal Conditions, Trauma Informed Care
Preferred pronouns: She/her/hers
Dr. Kara Menzer loves being a Naturopathic Doctor and primary care provider! Dr. Menzer is currently accepting new patients ages 18 and up.
Dr. Menzer is a two-time cancer survivor and personally knows the value of holistic, integrative care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Psychology from UC Davis and her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. Dr. Menzer believes that her role as a Naturopathic Physician is fundamentally to listen first, ask questions second, and provide patients with a variety of treatment strategies. She rarely uses cookie-cutter “protocols” because no two patients are the same. Every treatment plan must be tailored to an individual’s personal story, beliefs, resources, and values.
Dr. Menzer is a Health At Every Size (HAES) practitioner with advanced specialty training in eating disorders, reproductive health, hormone replacement therapy, gastrointestinal health, and trauma-informed care.
Dr. Menzer previously served on the Board of Directors for the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians (WANP) and was recently awarded the 2022 WANP President’s Award.
In her spare time, Dr. Menzer can be found swing dancing or playing outside with her husband, kid and American Eskimo direwolf.
Please note that Dr. Menzer does not prescribe medications for weight loss or controlled substances (except testosterone), including opiates, amphetamine/methamphetamine, or sedatives.
“After trying many different MD offices & a few other NDs I’ve found this place & Dr. Kara Menzer. I love it here & she is great. She is very personable and takes her time really explaining and answering your questions. (If I remember correctly the first appointment is at least 45 minutes long!) Also if you need a lab or to get an IV it’s your doctor that performs the task, not another person/assistant….so you really get to build that relationship with your doctor. I’m going to continue here!”
