Hormone Pellet Therapy
Bio-Identical Hormone Pellet Therapy
Pellet therapy is an advanced hormone replacement technique that offers many benefits over pills, creams, patches and injections.
A subcutaneous pellet (about the size of a tic-tac) of estradiol or testosterone is placed under the skin in a minor out-patient procedure by one of our trained providers. The Pellet then delivers healthy amounts of hormones for about 4 months in women and 5 months in men. The pellet dissolves on its own over time with no need for removal.
Patients do not need to worry about friends and family coming into contact with hormone creams. No replacement of patches. Pellet therapy also offers consistent dosing which avoids the “highs and lows” that come with creams, patches and injection methods. The precision dosing and ease of use makes this an attractive option for select patients both already on or new to hormone replacement therapy.

“I have been a patient of Dr. Lauren Procopio for about 3 years. I have used her specialty in therapeutic I.V. to avoid the flu this year twice, as well as Iron I.V. to treat my iron anemia. I am thankful there are options available for a self employed practitioner to maintain my health, avoid time loss, and walk the health talk. The treatments available go way beyond this and I highly recommend her as a Naturopathic Doctor.”
