Natural Medicine of Seattle attended the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physician (WANP) Gala, where our own Dr. Kara Menzer was the recipient of the The President’s Award. The President’s Award recognizes a naturopathic physician who has gone “above and beyond” for the betterment of the WANP and its members. She had served on the Board of Directors for four years and actively guided the organization in expansion of the education and policies of the naturopathic community.

The WANP is a nonprofit association for NDs who advocates for naturopathic medicine by increasing public awareness of and access to naturopathic medical services. Current priorities of the WANP include scope expansion, insurance pay parity and ensuring that Naturopathic Doctors are included in the future of Washington as a sanctuary state for abortion and transgender care. If you are passionate about naturopathic medicine in Washington, the WANP can use the support of patient advocates through sharing stories, contacting your representatives and supporting fundraising efforts. See www.wanp.org if you want to get involved!
